Advocacy
CATHII is taking action to engage decision-makers and politicians in the adoption and implementation of laws and measures to protect victims and survivors, to support them and to improve the response to their needs.
These actions can take various forms: letters or signature campaigns, participation in consultations, support for campaigns, etc.
2026-2027: A crucial year for advocacy activities
The year 2026-2027 will be particularly important for CATHII's advocacy activities. The Quebec elections will provide an opportunity to raise awareness among political parties and candidates about issues related to human trafficking and to advance our recommendations. This period will also be dedicated to preparing our participation in the United Nations Universal Periodic Review (UPR), in order to contribute to the assessment of respect for human rights in Canada and to bring human trafficking concerns to the international stage.
